That is odd. I set mine off from time to time when my keys are in my pocket and I crouch down. The way I turn in off is to hold the panic/alarm button on the fob. Haven’t had to insert into ignition.

That's strange. Mine went through ok. Open Ford Pass app, click on Account, click your Maverick and then Copy the VIN and paste into the form. Or paste into an email and send it to yourself. Not sure if that will help or not.
