I have an Fx4 so 99 percent of the time itās just normal mode. Only other one I can really just drive around in is slippery mode and I donāt use it much.
Yea Auto start gets turned off immediately. Itās habit now to hit the button when I put it in drive.
Yes. Put the plug back in when you finish, put the wheel back on, get in and cycle through the gears a couple times. I took mine for a ride after I got done just to let it shift through the gears under load.
I filled mine through the leveling plug and a hand pump. Drained out a little over 4 and put back in about 4 and a half.
Take the wheel off and turn the steering wheel so the hub and rotor assembly is out of the way. I didnāt want to take apart all that under the hood either, this seemed to...
I donāt think anybody is getting on him, just wanted some more context before members start throwing darts as to what mightāve happened. I think most would agree that regardless of what the manual says leaving any kinda fluid in that come from the factory and not changing it at least once to get...
As posted above some more insight would be helpful. Transmissions usually give you warning signs before just all of a sudden going bad. Would like to hear a little more background leading up to this failure.
Hate to hear that. For one, with yours Iām assuming being out of warranty I wouldnāt even bother taking anything to a dealer. Iād make some calls to an actual transmission shop or any shop in general and Iād be willing to bet youd be able to get one installed for half that price.
You can always start with checking the boots and see if grease is starting to come out along the shaft, vibration is definitely common when it comes to this. Can always go by a tire shop too and make sure the tires arenāt out of balance
I think thatās the point heās making lol Maybe to the majority of members on MTC it isnāt 150k, but Iād be willing to bet a lot of Maverick owners have no idea this site even exists but if you are strictly going off the Ford recommendation, it is 150k.
From the little bit I watched he seemed like he was being honest about his review, and with the amount of miles heās put on it in the short amount of time and him repeatedly saying he loves the truck thatās gotta tell you a lot. Iād be ecstatic if I get 200k out of mine with the only major...
I get what youāre saying, the ārakeā is going to be subjective obviously but in my years of driving and having various cars the majority or people think any vehicle looks better leveled. Again I get itās subjective and Iām sure people donāt mind it not being leveled and thatās fine. Anything...
I donāt see how a leveling kit would affect gas mileage at all, all itās doing is raising the front end a inch or so to match the rear, you arenāt adding any weight to the vehicle. People do this because it looks better, if somebody put a poll up Iād be willing to guess the majority would say it...
Judging by the things he was doing with his truck on prior videos heās put out Iām not really surprised the trans went out when it did. He was definitely putting his to work, a lot of driving and a lot of towing and other various things. Iām not mad about it though I like seeing how things hold...
I know what youāre talking about, unfortunately thatās my only gripe about the adaptive cruise. If you set it going down the highway and somebody decides they wanna whip in front of you real quick the truck is gonna basically slam on brakes in the middle of the highway. Have to really pay...
