  1. Buyer's remorse on FWD Hybrids?

I'm reminded of the scene in Spinal Tap where an amplifier was labeled all the way up to eleven. Some of us only need it to say ten.
  2. New Ford Accessory: Maverick Front Fender Vent

$19,995 and proud of it. No "XL shaming" please.
  3. Aftermarket Axles: Show your interest!

Well count me interested in CVJ. Next I have to work on Mrs. Flooding. Would CVJ be willing to use my VIN and bill it to me so the set ships directly to them I wonder? Plain FWD hybrid, btw. And thank you also for the initiative.
  4. Aftermarket Axles: Show your interest!

Interesting. So OP, how would the CVJ option reconcile their r&d with just one or two pairs of possible CV axles in their shop?
  5. I know my Maverick has a radio, somewhere, but where?

Country is just fine. Try songs written and especially performed by Hardy.
  6. Has anyone extended Hvac venting to back seat?

More hot Texas hacks; Open the rear windows for about one block to vent the trapped hot air while the a/c fans run hi. Then close up and cool down. I also use a windshield screen in parking lots and it's not beneath me to walk out with a wet paper towel for the steering wheel during these heat...
  7. Ford Maverick, longer than full size trucks?

Fits in the urban "2 car" garage, just by inches. Lengthwise maneuvers a lot like the narrow but long Ford Fusion IMO.
  8. My mudflap gap fix using kydex thermoplastic sheet

There's at least 1 or 2 threads about their mudflaps. They may still be sending replacement clips if asked but it takes a long time to arrive. Hope this helps.
  9. Maverick: The People’s Truck?

So you're saying "there's a chance" I could mod my XL with a gun turret like the rat patrol. I Love this country!
  10. 23N06 Customer Satisfaction Program (Hybrid Maverick) - engine long block replacement coverage for 10/100k miles (for DTC P1061 and/or P032F)

That explains the warranty offer to Corair and Escape hybrids and maybe a Maverick case. Hopefully no deaths or other injuries to the families. Let's all be careful out there.
  11. 23N06 Customer Satisfaction Program (Hybrid Maverick) - engine long block replacement coverage for 10/100k miles (for DTC P1061 and/or P032F)

My better judgment tells me to stay out of this but, a couple of things. Let's start with ears. If a non test- dummy driver hears bad humors from the engine compartment or a wheel blowout for that matter, they're supposed to stop the vehicle and turn it off as soon as safe to do so. But the...
  12. 23N06 Customer Satisfaction Program (Hybrid Maverick) - engine long block replacement coverage for 10/100k miles (for DTC P1061 and/or P032F)

As far as is known, the engines have never changed, so the long block assembly is identical. Presumably just better quality control on polishing the parts, etc.
  13. 23N06 Customer Satisfaction Program (Hybrid Maverick) - engine long block replacement coverage for 10/100k miles (for DTC P1061 and/or P032F)

Yes, I got the alert on Fordpass. That is if you mean affected as in the pool of vehicles outlined in general. You would already know because the software update to warn of impending engine failure went out to us already. Now if it happens to a needle in the haystack, that falls under 10/100K...
  14. 23N06 Customer Satisfaction Program (Hybrid Maverick) - engine long block replacement coverage for 10/100k miles (for DTC P1061 and/or P032F)

What if you blow a tire on the turnpike next to a couple of 18 wheelers? That's over any car company's pay grade. They will replace any broken engine if it fails, you stop and turn it off. And take it to a dealer in the next 10 years. Flying Boeing is more risky than riding my '22.
  15. 23N06 Customer Satisfaction Program (Hybrid Maverick) - engine long block replacement coverage for 10/100k miles (for DTC P1061 and/or P032F)

Well, the software safety recall is supposed to flag the need to stop the engine. And if the engine defect is present, it will be mechanically resolved by long block replacement with no defective cranks, etc. These seems satisfactory and is transferable to subsequent owners up to the 10/100K.
  16. It's Happening. NHTSA 23V380

    Your dealer told you something.
