Wow....4G LTE takes me back quite a bit. Time for an upgrade......your S8 has served you well. You could gain root access and flash a custom ROM that will support the Ford app, but not worth the trouble to do so, IMO. The older chipset and low RAM on your phone may struggle to run it properly.
When you sell expensive vehicles for a living, I guess you become numb to this kinda stuff. This is what is costs to lease a V8 Range Rover. $777 a month here maybe gets you an Evoque. lol
This makes sense to me. Just surprised to not see any ACM codes at all if it is the culprit.
@crbalch I see you're out of warranty. The ACM itself is not too difficult to get to and swap out yourself if you feel comfortable with basic tools. I am sure you can get one for cheap on ebay.
Edit...
Some things are very difficult to diagnose remotely. From my understanding, the raw audio signal comes from the APIM and goes to the ACM where is uses A2B to send the audio signals to the DSP (on vehicles with B&O that have a DSP). The codes your truck is reporting are lost comms codes between...
Interesting. What you're saying makes sense, but I've always been told to connect it to sensor and not the terminal by techs. I've never asked why. Maybe just some misinformation going around.
You can clear the codes by clicking the yellow triangle that says DTC on the left, but keep in mind that codes are not problems......only problems are problems. When the codes end with a 8 in the status byte, it means it is a stored code and not an active fault. See example below from my truck...
Well, someone above mentioned the update is getting hung up on certain Mavericks based on what drivetrain they have. However, anyone that has even a little experience with updating modules with FDRS should know that a TRM update is only about 100KB worth of files and that will not take 8 hours...
Off topic and just FYI: There is a new Sync 3 APIM update posted on CyanLabs site. It has not officially been released by Ford yet, but a few people on there have installed it. I didn't do it on our Bronco Sport because I have a Sync 4 APIM in it, but to anyone brave enough to try, you can read...
I don't work for Ford anymore, but I can tell you with 100% confidence that a 2023 Maverick cannot get OTAs. Message me the VIN and I can check your warranty history and open recalls to see if it was done or not.
