OK I misunderstood as well. Mine always shut off as soon as the door opened. That's weird!

Every car I've owned since 1997, mostly all Ford products have done this. My 2011 Ranger with keyed ignition did shut off when the key was turned to the off position. Stopped as soon as the door release handle was pulled. Sorry if that is annoying, but wow that's not a really bad thing to deal...

Like I said earlier, wet the car, wet a Bounce cloth, wipe away the bugs, and hose off. No scrubbing. Easy Peasy.

Spray the vehicle with water, wet a Bounce cloth, and very easily remove any bugs, anywhere on your vehicle. Works amazingly well. Hose off the ASAP after you are done. Easy easy!

I never turn anything off. I set the temp at 72 and leave it on auto. It cools it to 72 in the summer and 72 in the winter. The only time I ever turn it all off is in the spring when it's around that temperature outside, and that is not very often. I may occasionally adjust the fan speed up...

I think it depends on the temperature in your cabin. If it's higher than what you have it set for, it will automatically come on to get the cabin to that temperature, which is what I would want it to do.
