Nobody’s mentioned the the 150 lbs torque on the lug nuts some manufacturers use. I know on my Maverick the lug wrench would not remove the lug nuts, just bent the lug wrench, so now carry a breaker bar. Also, no one mentioned the 02-05 thunderbird with the self exploding spare tires. Blows...

I do my own, try to remember to write it down in my manual though. Might look at it see if there’s anything recorded. Think you’re worrying too much

I kind of understand. I dislike that the headlights automatically go to low beams when you get below 20mph, usually I slow down to make a turn and need the extra light to see the street or street signs. I guess they expect everyone to be driving in the city, not out in the dark countryside...

I find the cheapest xl interior still very nice and simple, nicer than most top level cars twenty years ago. Also, I see a lot of upper end interiors , especially leather, look worse in five years than the standard interiors. But then again at 77 I don’t understand the need for adding things...

Lug wrench just folded/bent up when trying to use. Carry a breaker bar and socket

They all set too low. I trimmed off an inch off the bottom lip of the front bumper. When I got my 22 I had to reattach front and rear bumpers , all underneath covers gone, electric water pump connections broke off, gas tank vent lines broke off, and muffler bent up. Truck was less than a year...

Spot welds failing. Rewelded mine but the metal is too thin I’m sure it is just a matter of time before these fail also. Was always careful opening and never had wind catch it. It’s just not heavy enough material for the stress over time.

I have not had any issues with my truck, I’ve had no recalls, tsb, or computer updates. It starts every time and always gets me where I’m going and back.

The funny thing I find here is the two videos. The same question, one video 1 minute 48seconds, the other one over 15 minutes. Of course I didn’t watch the 15 minute video; what does that tell you about my age? And yes I still do my own maintenance!
