  1. Quick option for a bed mat!

Check your local farm stores. They often have bed mats in stock. Otherwise, I would see if there is any cardboard you can round up, possibly at a recycling center or at an appliance store.
  2. Missing features of my 26 Lariat HB

Depending on the model, that's true. My previous vehicle was a 2022 Camry AWD (purchased new), and through the 60k miles I had it, it got tires and normal maintenance. It had no breakdowns and zero recalls. My Maverick has had two recalls in the 4 months I've had it. The Camry is a unibody...
  3. Missing features of my 26 Lariat HB

Don't buy a Toyota for better road noise, ride, or more luxury. More dependable, less recalls, longer lifespan and more boring are all good reasons to consider a Toyota though.
  4. Some form of automatic braking is annoying me

Toyota advertises their Safety Sense 2.0 (and likely newer versions) as protecting left turns. My Camry had it and it never interfered with normal driving. I also haven't had any issues with turning on my Maverick.
  5. Toyota CEO confirms: RAV4-based Unibody Truck is coming for the Maverick!

For me, a Hyundai/Kia is a crapshoot. Might be ok, good chance of it not. I won't buy one. The Santa Cruz is supposed to be discontinued in 2027, but they could accelerate that.
  6. Toyota CEO confirms: RAV4-based Unibody Truck is coming for the Maverick!

Maybe. The Hyundai/Kia 100k powertrain warranty is for the original owner only. It drops to 60k if purchased used.
  7. Some form of automatic braking is annoying me

Yeah, "Dynamic Radar Cruise Control" is what Toyota calls it, and my last vehicle was a Camry with that tech. It did not have this problem, and the emergency braking worked great also. I have had it happen using both regular cruise control and adaptive. Even with the regular cruise control it...
  8. Some form of automatic braking is annoying me

During normal operation of the adaptive cruse, when someone is and has been directly in front of me, it gets closer then brakes. It seems to be working properly. When someone is merging, it seems to be a greater distance, the truck brakes harshly for a moment, then often resumes to the set...
  9. Some form of automatic braking is annoying me

Yeah, that's what I was thinking would be the case. I mentioned I didn't see or hear any warning on the dash. It would seem adaptive cruise shouldn't be doing it since it is well beyond the following distance I set. That's why I said "some form" of automatic braking ... not sure what it is.
  10. Some form of automatic braking is annoying me

Makes sense, but the distance between us is significantly greater than the following distance ACC allows, and is set for in my case.
  11. Some form of automatic braking is annoying me

That fits with my expectations, and I haven't gotten any warnings.
  12. Some form of automatic braking is annoying me

WEll, I guess I'm not the only one. If Ford ever sends me a survey on this vehicle I'll mention it. The industry norm is better than this from what I've experienced.
  13. Some form of automatic braking is annoying me

Thanks guys. Yeah, I looked at pre-collision settings and mine is in the middle setting. What gets me is the other vehicle is considerably ahead, not a risk, and maybe not even going slower. I don't see any notification on the dash. My 2022 Camry had pre-collision assist, and it never did...
