😆 It kinda grows on ya -- grows OLD!
I've been living in this mountain valley most of my life, have seen -40°, but not for years. With these early snowstorms and frigid temps, I wouldn't be surprised to see them again later this season.

Beautiful here, but leaves much to be desired nowadays. Getting expensive too. I'll avoid making any political comments! 🤫
In the late 60's my aunt and uncle opened a tool and die shop on Broadway down the street from Gates tire and rubber company.
When the late 90's came around, they couldn't handle being in Denver anymore. They still loved Colorado, they just ended up moving out to the flatlands of Burlington Colorado.

38 degrees forecast today. Went ahead and installed mine. Everything went smoothly. Glad I read the previous posts and left the bolts loose until they were all started. Very happy with the product.

I think I'll wait until the price drops to 1/2 or more like the other Mabett parts did. Seems expensive for a piece of plastic made in China like all their other add ons. Hopefully the plastic won't short out or retain water like their lights do.

It is not plastic. It is metal, probably aluminum

I have the parts, but it is only 30 degrees or less for the next few months. I will have to wait until
then to install them. I cannot heat my garage, so they will stay in the box. If anyone else has
installed theirs, please tell us how it went.
I installed mine a couple weeks ago, fits great but written instructions are not that good. Watch the install video, it’s easier to understand, especially locating the first bolt you need to remove.

I just got mine , waiting for the chance to get a warm up and wash out the fender before installing. Was thinking of doing a Lanolin based undercoating at the same time.
I used Waxoyl from Rovers North and Amazon. Spray nozzles worked really well and can be connected together for long spray runs. I did inside doors, underneath, under bed, frame rails, crevices etc. Used a lot!! Wasn't cheap at hundreds of dollars but I doubt I will have a rust problem. Takes a few days for it to really solidify and completely stop running. Can wipe off areas if needed.
Caution!
I did not cover all electrical connections and tried to avoid them but do it! There is one in the underneath center that is very susceptible to this wax and it takes a while before it has issues from the waxoyl. There are threads about this. I developed the code more than 6 months after spraying and it kept coming back after resetting. Finally found the thread and really cleaned out the connector well and used dielectric grease on it and problem never showed up again. Seemed to be a common problem for those that were undercoating this truck.
