Bought a cheap roll up bed cover off eBay for wife’s 24 hybrid. Just wanted to keep things out of sight A week later decided to install it. after buying and installing various bed covers installed. I was surprised a few days later when it came a good rain and I found that the cover didn’t leak. I’ve had $100- $1200 covers some professionally installed and they all leaked until I installed this one.

Bought on eBay from user autosaver88 was 119.99 with free shipping. Didn’t see a link to the item. When I installed it I first used clear silicon caulk to fill in the two grooves at front of bed and two channels in bed side bed caps. I over filled and let them at for 2-3 days to solidify, then I used a razor blade to trim them off flush with bed. Then I added the foam weather strip( came with cover) to front bed rail. Then I placed the front of bed cover about 1/2 inch from glass then atteched side rails check for square and correct width at back of cover to insure square and fit. Started at back loosely attaching clamps then do the front clamps and then middle ones. Checked fit again then tightened clamps. All this done with tailgate down only pushed the tailgate up lightly to check fit. Once satisfied I drove about 100 miles and checked tightness of clamps. When positioning clamps be sure to check for interference with bed cover support bars and bed track operation if truck so equipped. I did have to loosen clamps a bit tap one of the cover side rails to move it about 1/4 inch to get fit just right.

I also bought cheap aftermarket roll up tonneau covers and installed them on my 22 ecoboost and my wifes 24 hybrid with good results. Both covers keep the water out. I still have my 04 f150 that i installed a tonneau cover on, back in 04 and that is dry as well.

From your information I'm pretty sure it's this one.

Now $107.99 with coupon code. No affiliation with seller yada, yada.
Yep that looks like it. I don’t know if that cover made any difference on it not leaking, it may have been my extra prep on installing it and my care in doing it precisely. I do know that I liked the knurled nuts for the clamps. It was much easier to tighten the clamps down. I used a different brand last year on my 22 Mav and you had to use an Allen wrench to tighten the clamps and it leaked pretty badly. Was a good learning experience.

I installed a different brand on my 22 Mav and it leaked badly. I used the experience to do a better job on my wife’s 24, but didn’t expect this good of an outcome. I recently bought a 23 hybrid that already had a hard trifold cover when I bought it. That thing leaks. I’m going to pull it off and reinstall it using the lessons learned on the 22 and 24.

My 22 an eco AWD is gone now, I traded it for wife’s 24 hybrid.

No don’t miss the ecoboost AWD. I drive pretty conservative and rarely went off road. I was averaging 33 mpg in the eco and now average 45mpg in both our hybrids. I did take the 24 hybrid through a bit of mud on our latest trip to farm, hybrid did just fine.

How did you ever get 33mpg on an eco? Do you only drive downhill?
