The initial order placement up to delivery took about 4 months. I placed the order on 02/23/2024 for a Ford Maverick XLT 4x4 4K Tow w/ Lux Package + some other options (see attached) then I waited a couple weeks just lurking on the Maverick Truck Club forms and watching videos about how to get my order scheduled as soon as possible.
I found on one of the forums that the Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover would delay order scheduling because of part shortages etc. so I emailed the dealer and had them adjust the order to remove that option, and literally the next day the truck was scheduled for production. This happened on 03/14/2024 and the truck was scheduled for a little over a month forward in April (see attached).
The truck was built in a day and then it took a little over a month to ship it to Seattle from its origin. The dealer emailed me photos when it was delivered on 05/28/2024.
Now that I’ve had the truck for a little over 4 months I can say that everything is great. I love it. Except for getting a rock chip 1k miles in (currently at 4,356 miles)… I just patched the rock chip and it looks as good as new for $10 lol.
I’m glad I got the non-hybrid version though after watching all of the videos because I didn’t want to deal with the droning when towing (coming from the nightmare 2013 Ford Focus SE Hatchback I just couldn’t do the noise), I have a higher tow capacity, and it’s very fast for what it is. Mpg isn’t too bad in the city, but it’s pretty decent on the highways. Great truck, plus I can fit my bike in the back if I turn it diagonally (Trek FX2)!
