Just got back from a three week vacation with my hybrid. Drove from the Greenville, SC area to northern Michigan's Traverse City area. About 1800 miles out of the 2400 miles was all expressway, averaging 77mph. Going up to Michigan averaged 36 mpg on the expressway, with hardly any electric usage. Coming home, from Mid-Michigan to Mid-Ohio averaged 39mpg until the temps rose enough to turn the air conditioning on, then averaged about 35 mpg once we hit the mountains of Kentucky.
I'm 6'4", about 250 lbs and the first day going up we drove 7.5 hrs and at the 5.5 hour mark, my butt started to feel a little discomfort. so I thought that wasn't all that bad time wise. That was the longest we drove in one day. On the way home, two days about 6 hours each, stopping off about two hours south of Traverse City to visit family and stay the night.
Used my ACC, worked great! Had stop and go traffic heading into Cincinnati, OH on the way up, truck stopped and went as needed. It did not handle tight curves well, but then I was going 70+ mph. Normal curves it handled great!
Truck performed great! The only issue was on the way home, there was an accident on the expressway, took about an hour to go one mile. Was using ACC the whole time. A few times, the truck 'jerked' 4-5 times as it inched up to the car in front of me. Never did that on the way up when we got into stop and go traffic heading into Cincinnati, OH. It probably did it three times in the hour we were in the stop and go traffic.
Anyway, thought I'd share my overall experience with a long trip with my hybrid.

Your 2022 has low mileage overall!

Thanks! Being retired keeps the mileage low.

I have low mileage too, but yours is lower than even my 2022. I'm from TC so I hope you enjoyed your stay. Maybe we passed each other driving in town. I'm not retired, but I just live close to work.

If you are the only yellow Mav in the TC area, then we did see you. Hope you are enjoying your Mav!
It was a great time, seeing our grandson for the first time in three years, now being ten years old and smarter than his own britches :) , it was a true joy! And seeing our 'church family' at New Hope almost wanted me to move back north. but my wife said other wise?????

I think there is at least one other cyber orange, which I've seen on the road. I can understand not wanting to move. It's probably the winters and the summer traffic.

Forgive me for saying 'yellow' when it is cyber orange. Our friends and family say the traffic is so much worse since we left in June of 2021, with all the people moving into the area being able to 'work from home' now possible. Our house we sold is now valued at almost $100K more than when we sold it, just amazing.
