Yesterday, I received a pair of LASFIT’s switchback LED turn signal bulbs for my ’24 XLT hybrid as a result of my name being drawn in LASFIT’s recent lottery giveaway. I was anxious to install them as I have not upgraded any of my OEM bulbs with their products. I know many Maverick owners swear by them.
I was baffled first after pulling the bulb holder from the light housing, Seeing the two, what appeared to be spring clips, on either side of the build, I thought perhaps I needed to release the bulb by prying them open. When I couldn’t figure how to work the clips while pulling on the bulb, I decided to refer to the font of all knowledge, YouTube. I realized I had just been too hesitant to apply sufficient force to pull the old bulb straight out.
Replacing the OEM bulbs with LASFIT’s product was straight forward. Jumping back into the cab I hit the turn indicators and immediately the dashboard turn indicator lamp began to hyperflash. When I went to the front of the truck I saw nothing. I checked that both bulbs were fully seated, nothing. I then pulled the switchbacks, rotated them 180 degrees and reinstalled them. Voila, I now have working switchback turn indicators and damn if they’re not bright!
I’m impressed. There is no doubt other drivers will see me coming and understand my intent when I signal a turn. Now I have to look at what other products LASFIT has to fit my Maverick and prioritize additional upgrades. Thanks LASFIT for the opportunity to add your LED bulbs to my build.
