So I just had my first recall done on my 2024, took about 15 minutes I think. Had the truck updated by a local dealer... so far no problems. Anyone actually notice an issue with their tail lights?? I never even got so much as a notification about it from Ford, I found out about it through these forums. Once it was completed they cleared the Recall from my car on the NHTSA website and the Ford website so I guess everything's good lol. I always wondered what happens to those recall's once you fix them. I guess I'll update the thread if my Eco-Boost spontaneously combusts like the Hybrids like to do.

Update: 1 week in since the Recall, No issues. I did have to reconnect my phone to the car but I'm not sure if that was due to the recall or my error.

I just booked an appointment for a few weeks from now, when I am on vacation. It’s my Trucks first recall. I will be watching for signs of gremlin’s in the code and I will cancel the appointment and put it off until my first scheduled service giving them more time to perfect the fix.

If you notice your taillights didn't come on due to this issue, you can fix it by manually turning the headlight switch OFF and then back ON. I have not seen my taillights not working and have no plans to have the recall done. I'm sure they'll do it if I take the truck in for something else.

Other than very annoying rattles, I haven't had any issues with my HYBRID Maverick. Hell, it hasn't even burst into flames, like 4chEEsesmoothie is apparently so terrified of happening.

Hey let me know when you need a ride back home from the dealership next month.

Never received any notice that my truck was one of them, at least not yet.

Still won't get it done regardless. If I don't have the issue, I don't need them bricking my truck. I've also had no issues with the LasFit LED's either that people were experiencing too. Bought mine for very cheap on the marketplace here just in case, but it's been a year so far and no problems.

I know it's smart to get updates in the hopes of avoiding issues, but if they can't prove the updates to be safe and reliable, it's not worth the risk. I'd rather park it if the issue arises and go from there.

I only got this done since I noticed my rear tail light was out on a couple occasions but I could never replicate the issue. I did have to ForScan a fix to resolve the fast blink issue due to my LED's. Since the flash, the problem has never been back.

Hmm. I was never notified by Ford, but opened app today and clicked recall, and there it was.
I have done several forscan mods. Will this:

"Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to update the bcm software free of charge parts and labor."

affect the Forscan programming I have done?
TIA

I don't use Forescan so I have no idea. I wonder if the people who have issues after the recall updates are the same people who frequently use Forescan and modify things? Just a thought.

My dealer (Krause Family Ford) sent out the mobile tech to handle the recall. While he was he, he noticed the a trim piece on the drivers door was loose and found out it had a broken clip. He made note of it and called me the next morning, asking if he could come out and replace the broken trim piece. He also replaced the battery because I has several “deep sleep” occurrences. I’m very happy with my dealer and love my Maverick!

I just took delivery on my 24 Eco Lariat yesterday, and before I went to get it I noticed my FordPass had my new one listed for the tail lights recall. The dealer took care of it quick as they prepped the car for me so it was already done when I got it, and have noticed no issues yet, my new Mav’s been perfect so far, knock on wood

I have heard nothing yet from Ford. Heard, I think, Ford would start the fixing on May 15? Some of you, though, have heard already and had it done?

Yea, I just called my dealer and they had a mobile tech come and update the car.
