Probably too late in the design cycle for a change, but what do people think about the center section being an amber retro-reflector?

Smooth surface to allow us to put our own silhouette vinyl stickers on, whether the stickers are the trim level letters (individually sourced) or a logo (Maverick or otherwise) so they show as a shadow when a light is hitting the retro-reflector.

I agree with the other thread linked in the OP that there shouldn't be any white illumination from this piece to conform to US (and state) DOT regulations.

Just a passing thought...but how about using the white as a courtesy light (like a puddle light). You could run that line to the interior cab light wiring. Therefore it wouldn't be on when the vehicle is in motion, but would look cool when you unlock the doors.

Only yellow/amber is legal. Not many would buy anything else.

Disappointing. like $2 worth of plastic connectors on AliExpress that I am sure can be sourced less to make it plug and play vs splice and play. Very different type of installation.

Hard pass at that price without a harness adapter, I have avoided splicing anything so far, and do not plan to. If This was maybe $50, I would get having to source and make my own plug and play harness.

Right now you either have to use an OPT7 wiring harness which is about $35 on Amazon or buy plugs and pins from AliExpress, and then you still need to feel comfortable and have the right tools to add that to this kit.

Soooo disappointed. Thought would be truly plug and play. Maybe a future version. Think I’ll wait for V2 if they can correct this and offer MTC members special pricing in response to our patronage and support!
