Good question. I custom ordered it through Randall Ford in October 2021. My old car was aging, but still served my purpose, so I wasn't in a big hurry to get the Maverick at that time. Then my car got totaled by a hail storm in 2022. I had to find a vehicle ASAP and the used car market at that time was ridiculous, so I bought a new Chevy Colorado. While I still really like Maverick, the Colorado is slightly better for my needs (other than the fact it gets half the mpg). I honestly thought it was never going to get built.

I'll be curious to see what this goes for as I have two 24 hybrids on order, one from Randall.

In most cases, I agree with you. In my case, the insurance company was willing to pay me nearly what I bought it for 9 years and 70000mi previously. The buy back amount was just as inflated, because of used car values. And it had just leaked oil in my driveway. I was more than happy to let it go. Also, at that point I had lost all hope that the Maverick would even be built before my old car kicked the bucket.

So I'm really confused now. I don't understand why you bought the Maverick, if you already bought a Colorado and want to keep the Colorado.

To sell it. I ordered the Maverick almost two years ago and waited patiently for it. I wasn't about to pass on it and let the dealership mark it up $10000 (which they told me they absolutely would).

It's pretty simple. Decided he no longer wanted it, bought it anyway, now is trying to resell it for a profit.
