I already have a '22 Maverick XLT hybrid built just like I wanted, yet I went ahead and ordered a plain white '23 XL Hybrid that entered production this week. Just checked and the modules have been populated. And lo and behold I am excited!
Used to be we all walked into a dealer and drove away with a new vehicle a couple hours later. Nowadays, we research all the options online, wait for the window to open then go into the dealership to sign ordering intention paperwork, then wait around a year for the vehicle to show up. The exact opposite of how Amazon has trained us to expect near-instant satisfaction. And yet, I AM THRILLED it is in production, even though I am not planning on replacing my other Maverick. The second one was ordered to be raffled off for the nonprofit, at least that was until we checked all the rules for such in the state of Florida. Rethinking that plan.
