From the manual, page 160:

HOW DOES THE ENGINE BLOCK HEATER WORK
The engine block heater warms the engine coolant. This allows the climate control system to quickly respond. The equipment includes a heater element installed in the engine block and a wire harness. You can connect the system to a grounded 220-240 volt AC electrical source.

Should that be 110-120 volts?

EDIT: Changed in the 2023 owner's manual to 110 volts.

What ever you do find a appropriate voltage timer so it's not being heated all night $$

I have never seen a 240V one. But they must have them for other markets.

Lots of people want this or have it on their car in Canada. One vw new beetle I had, had it. You plug it in 20 minutes before you start the engine. It will warm the oil. Good in -20C or -60C

It was just a house hold plug socket and you definitely need an extension cable

I would just turn it on awhile before I leave. But, getting into a warm truck sounds nice.

Yes the owner's manual states 220 volts, yet the plug is typical of 110 volts. >I have assumed that the owner's manual is simply incorrect.<
I do have the block heater yet have not yet attempted to use it. (Maverick hybrid USA market.)
Any additional comments appreciated here...

A 220/240 VAC rated heater will always be safe to plug into a 110/120 VAC outlet. It will probably take twice as long to warm your engine.

Putting a 110/120 VAC rated heater into a 220/240 VAC outlet would NOT be safe.

Probably a typo in the manual. But also it could be safe for duel voltage if Ford makes one part for all markets.

These heat the water, not the oil, and need like a 4 hour head start, not minutes before you leave.

So has anyone tried the block heater with 240? I have 240 to the driveway already for an EVSE, would be pretty nice to use that.

All the block heaters I have had were 120Volts. Just run an electrical cord to a 110 outlet.
