Sounds a bit like my son.years ago I had a co-worker (cheap A$$) who didn't believe in oil changes either in the old POS used vehicles he preferred. He thought oil leaks were a bonus and would just wait until he was 1 quart low on the dipstick and add a new quart. Used to brag about continuous oil change rather than doing it all at once and messing with stuff like changing filters and proper disposal of old oil & filters. Dude could stretch a penny into a mile of copper strand wire.

Had a 4 wheeler like that. No oil under it, none in it. Yeah, but those stupid things were always getting bumped by both passenger & driver. Never cared for 'em.Here are school luxury car manual side view mirrors that adjusted via manual ball and stick control that protruded through the passenger and driver doors. Yes, these were luxury at one point. It beat getting out of the car to adjust the passenger mirror.
