You know what? That still does not do anything to change my statement that Ford is contradicting itself. Ford specifically did not mention power mirrors as available until after July 13 and according to the configurator they are not on the XL at all. I call that a contradiction.
There are portions of Ford systems which only operate/are enabled at certain trim levels for whatever reason. Thus my statement again Ford is contradicting itself period I said above the only thing I know is that it will have mirrors.
To be fair, Ford also didn't mention seatbelts or power side windows, but I'm pretty sure Maverick has them on the XL. But this IS a fun thread, and I'm enjoying reading it.

years ago I had a co-worker (cheap A$$) who didn't believe in oil changes either in the old POS used vehicles he preferred. He thought oil leaks were a bonus and would just wait until he was 1 quart low on the dipstick and add a new quart. Used to brag about continuous oil change rather than doing it all at once and messing with stuff like changing filters and proper disposal of old oil & filters. Dude could stretch a penny into a mile of copper strand wire.

Buy 'em cheap and drive until they die he said... :ROFLMAO:
Sounds a bit like my son. 🙄

Probably referring to Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Oak Ridge National Laboratory

Apparently, those folks must be known to have some technical capability ;)

They know something about mirrors and physics there

one day they will shut down ORNL and it will be scrapped by the lowest common bidder. They will crush the piping and there will be a big boom

Ha, that's what they did at another facility down the road where I worked, K-25.
Except they avoided the boom fortunately.

Hopefully, ORNL will be around long enough to retire. ;)

Here are school luxury car manual side view mirrors that adjusted via manual ball and stick control that protruded through the passenger and driver doors. Yes, these were luxury at one point. It beat getting out of the car to adjust the passenger mirror.

Yeah, but those stupid things were always getting bumped by both passenger & driver. Never cared for 'em.

So, it has been 2 YEARS since the OP posted this thread. Has he figured out whether XL mirrors are manual, yet? ;)
