XL power mirror swap

Hey Mavericks. So I got the email notification from Ford yesterday that my XL, 2.0 AWD is built and should ship around mid-April ! Has anyone investigated or knows if the wiring is in the door of the XL for power mirrors ? So as to make a XLT power mirror swap a plug and play ? Just wondering, no biggie if it's not.

Don’t know, but since you would also need the door switch, it wouldn’t be fully plug and play.

While possible, I suspect that this will be an expensive upgrade. As I recall, the power mirrors are very expensive, and there's no wiring pre-installed. That said, maybe you can find some salvaged parts for less.

Unfortunately for you I plugged an XL no Copilot 360 VIN into the Ford Parts website and there is a main wiring harness specific for the XL without CP360 that has absolutely no power going to the mirrors so you couldn't even add the switch and wiring harnesses without replacing the entire main vehicle wiring harness. If you have your VIN I would plug it in at parts.ford.com and look up part# 14A005 and see what shows under the description for that part number.

I just looked up that part # from a local dealer......MSRP is $876----my price $2600 !! .... manual mirrors it is !! . Thanks for everyone helping out .
