Got it yesterday (super lucky edition)

I ordered my hybrid Maverick on October 21 and haven’t even gotten a vin yet. I sold my f150 in October because the carmax offer was too good to pass up. I’ve been driving my Miata in the mean time which is great for single person transport but I needed a vehicle that a car seat can go in asap recently. I started checking the ford inventory search tool multiple times a day about a month ago and found a semi local dealer with an unclaimed hybrid inbound. I called them before they even knew it was coming. I put down a deposit and picked it up yesterday for MSRP and a 500 dollar ford rebate! Shout out to Mendoza Ford in Maurice Louisiana they were incredible to work with.
It’s an Area 51 XLT lux with a bed extender I love it so far.

My original order was Cyber Orange XLT with a moonroof. I wasn’t sure about the Area 51 when I saw the broncos in photos but I liked it in Mav pictures. I love it in person.

The orange is super cool, but I know what you’re saying about seeing it in person. I test drove a Lariat in Area 51. Dang near pulled the trigger on the switch. Man reason I didn’t that day - my 8 year-old preferred the gray.

I’m sticking with the Carbon Gray, which I love, but, now, I’m sticking with it also because I don’t want to switch things up and jeopardize my potential build date. (Yeah, I see the flawed logic too, but that’s what I’m sticking with. I also don’t step on cracks on title floors, as one crack stepped on will set my build back a couple more months.)

I have my Maverick coming around April. I will sell my Honda CRV meawhile and will have to drive around in my 2007 Miata until the truck shows up. Doesn't sound like a bad deal for me.

Congrats on your new Mav. I have the exact same one on order. Question though. With the Lux pkg you get heated seats, steering wheel and mirror(s). Are there separate buttons or switches for each heated option or 1 that turns all three on at the same time. Wish I had mine to try them out. It was -12 F this morning here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. And Go Packers !!!

Yep each seat and the steering wheel each have their own button.

I’m certain this has been asked a million times around here but how does one check for unclaimed incoming mavericks? What I’ve been doing doesn’t work and that’s just emailing the dealerships to see if it’s for sale when I see it on Ford’s search.

I was going on inventory search and calling on every truck I would be interested in. I called on probably 100 trucks within a 250 mile radius. I found 3 available hybrids and this was the only one at msrp. It’s just the shotgun approach.
