This is my 18" sub with two 15" passive radiators. Giving it about 2600 wts RMS. Sounds super musical, yet it can blur your vision ๐Ÿ™‚

Okay, I'm being a little bit facetious. This ^ has been fun, but I'm really just wanting a little sound quality daily driver like I have in my Prius.
The stereo in that is completely hidden (the DSP hidden in the dash, the mids and highs replaced, but still behind the door panels, and my 5ch 900 wt amp under my seat. Only this very narrow little ported box I built, to tuck in tight behind my back seat is visible, but it still holds a BUNCH of luggage for my ride sharing.... Oh and it sounds really nice ! Digs surprisingly deep. I think people look at my truck system, and they expect it to be crazy. But my Prius often surprises them ๐Ÿ‘

I think that sound system cost more than the Maverick.

Ha ๐Ÿ™‚ lol.... Not really. I built and designed a lot it myself. It's hard to put an exact price on it, as it's been a 13 year evolution. Lots of things have come and gone. But I think right now their is about $3000 in it.

Early condolences on the loss of your hearing. I spent four years on the flight-line in the USAF and now, at age 65, Iโ€™m paying the price.

Protect your hearing now; youโ€™ll miss it later.

Not saying these kinds of systems are not hard on ones ears....
And maybe I'm just lucky, but I've been playing with loud stereos, worked in refineries (loud!) and shot a lot of firearms, usually without hearing protection, for 4 decades (I'll be 57 in August) Had my hearing checked at a professional hearing center a few years ago, and they, and I were very surprised that my hearing was excellent. At least average for any 50+ yo male. Hmmm. That's cool, because I love music you can feel ;)

Ehhh.... Im respectful with it. I don't crank it full tilt at night in housing areas. I often play it loud, when I'm the only one around to hear it. In fact, if I have a new song I want to hear, or have done some tweaks to the system, I purposely drive to somewhere I can crank it without bothering anyone. Oh and btw, my most played Genre is "Christian music" ;) So that right there should tell you something. I hate ghetto rap music. Tom McDonald has some pretty good songs though :)

Yeah, Iโ€™m jealous that some people can do this to their hearing with reckless abandon. One of the reasons I am not getting a Bronco...I donโ€™t want the roof or doors off, for a fire engine to scream by.

One loud MRI without proper protection and now no sleep for a decade...severe tinnitus.....I am a musician and never felt the โ€œneedโ€ to โ€œfeelโ€ the music.
And then, there are some who are reckless....and nothing happens.

Enough of the soapbox, just curious what demographic....are you caucasian? In my study of tinnitus it seems like some Asians, and African-Americans have a higher tolerance of potential hearing damage.
I've got the ringing :)....From a BF'd Twin Reverb setting on my right side.. .... You get use to it

so you're looking for a sound, quality daily driver. As opposed to your "sound quality" driver. ๐Ÿ˜

:) LOL Kind of....

As you can see, I'm just into stereos "and music" all the way around. I definitely enjoy, and appreciate big, ridiculous stereo systems, but good balance, and sound quality is also very important to me. No matter the system, I want to be able to play ANY kind of music, and it sound good, and clean. Whether it be a crazy system like my truck, or a modest, system like my Prius. Honestly, my Prius sounds just about as nice and balanced as the truck... It just does not dig "quite" as deep, and it doesn't shake your insides, or blur your vision. IMPO, anybody who enjoys music should have a setup "at least" as good as the setup in my Prius.
BTW, my GF is a music freak, but not a bass head. She loves the sound of my Prius setup :) .... but she thinks my truck is kind of ridiculous. Oh well.
