Installed my tailgate protector today that I received from TreadAuto and I could not be happier with the quality and fit of this protector. The protector’s alignment with the tailgate was perfect and all the holes lined up exactly with the OEM holes and I was able to use all the OEM screws and washers. This mat laid down flat after I let it relax in the sun and the adhesive promoter and supplied double sided tape secured the mat in all the locations. This protector installs directly over the existing Ford protector. I am hoping to get the TreadAuto Bed Mat to replace my existing bed mat to complete the application.

PHOTOS
1st - No issue closing the tailgate and this extra layer of protection likely will add a water seal for my retractable cover.

2nd - The edges are sharp and provide a great fit following the lines of the tailgate

3rd - Comparison of the TreadAuto Protector and the OEM hard insert this fits right over the top

4th & 5th - Alignment before final install to check fit and final installation screwed and taped in place

Picked up and installed a secondhand retractable tonneau. And now I really (really!) need a bed mat… this seems awfully well timed, lol!
