Interesting that you have a 11/3 built date and the factory was closed November 1-5!
Yeah, I found that strange too. Wasn't sure if mine was forgotten and they just slapped a random date on it or maybe just the production lines were closed those days and they were still performing other processes there? I'm just glad it's shipped and hopefully the rest of the stuck Oct orders will move through.

Well, if you get chosen for a QC check at least you should have a lower chance for having initial quality problems with your vehicle.

Anyone out there know how many hybrids have already been built? Is December 18 the date Ford can begin selling hybrids or shipping them? Thank you for any info.

That certainly sounds extreme. Have you called them? The number I got is 800-334-4375. I'd be curious about the answer you got. You will need your VIN and order number to get the details.
So I just got off the phone with Ford. My wait time was only ~30 seconds, which really threw me off when one of their reps picked up the phone. lol.

They were able to look up the information on my truck, and they show the same status as I do, "in production". When I pressed them on why my truck has been in production since 10/14, they didn't have a really good answer. The rep asked their colleagues what could be causing the delay, and there was the usual discussion about maybe the spray in bedliner or chip issue. She did discuss that the truck is still scheduled to be delivered on December 4th, but then was honest with me and said that is unlikely to happen at this point, due to the amount of time shipping can take.

A bit disappointed, but I'm not shocked at this point. I also have to say the Ford rep was super pleasant to deal with, and if I ever have to call into their marketing line again, I hope I get to talk to her.

I have been on this forum since June and this is the first time reading about a random quality check taking an extra 1.5 weeks!

Idk bout a week and a half. Mine shipped 10/6 and no end insight.

So what was your total time from your "In Production" date to your "Built" date?
I know you weren't asking me but I'll weigh in anyway.
43 days and still counting, the tracker flipped to "in production" on 10/07 for me.

I'll second this, Ford reps have always been exceptionally nice, in my experience. They've never been able to provide me with any information I didn't already have but the experience was pleasant!

Thanks for your reply. That is discouraging and goes against what the Ford rep told me. I hope that is not the norm, but I have heard from others that have a similar story, especially since you have ordered an EcoBoost. Do you have a check mark (like in the confirmed order stage) in your "Production" circle or just a dot filled in?

I certainly don't think my scenario is the norm but I also don't think it's nearly as rare as most people think, either.

No check mark, this is what my In prod bubble looks like:

Good info, but I wish the communication was a little better for all involved. If ordering vehicles is the wave of the future, I really hope companies can improve on communication. My Maverick has been "in production" since 10/22. It'll be 4 weeks tomorrow. I have not received a "built" or "shipped" email yet. The modules have been on, and I have a link to "activate my vehicle" in my Ford Pass app. Everything points to my truck being ready, but I have no idea what's going on. It's probably a good thing we didn't/don't pay for this upfront.
My hybrid had a production week of 10/11. Was built on 10/13 my dealer said. The modules are on. Still says in production. Dealer says it stays that way till ready to ship. Been over a month now like you..

Yep, just like mine. I've been that way since 11/13, so looks like I've still got a hell of a wait in spite of what I was told, huh?

It's certainly possible but you've only been stuck a few days, not well over a month. There's plenty of folks that whose Mavs didn't start getting put together until after mine that are about to take delivery or are already driving theirs.

I'd suggest: Keep the faith.....but be prepared for some frustration.

This got me thinking - if my Lariat Lux has been sent to and returned from the body company, that indicates to me that the spray in bedliner is complete. Perhaps it is a chip issue, and it is predominantly affecting Lariat builds. Maybe something to do with adaptive cruise control, or even the wireless charging pad. Who knows - Ford is obviously not telling customers what is holding up their builds.

It could be a chip issue but given how many examples I've seen of poor craftsmanship coming out of these builds, I'm still leaning towards a quasi-recall because they screwed something up relatively major.

Now, I ALSO wouldn't be surprised if I got a call from my salesperson tomorrow saying it had shown up on the lot with no warning because Ford's tracking is borderline useless. Since I have to leave town tomorrow for a couple weeks, I'm now praying that it doesn't show up until early December because I wouldn't put it past my salesperson to sell it out from underneath me if I can't come pick it up right away. I know they'd stand to get more off the lot than they will with my X Plan purchase.

Definitely not been the kind of experience so far that makes me wanna rush out to order from Ford for my next vehicle. Now, I also kinda wish the hybrid had appealed to me, at least all of those customers had a huge heads up that they would be waiting for an undetermined amount of time for their builds.

Your salesperson can't sell your Mav from under you, due to the fact you have the Vin # from Ford!
