Hey there!

I've got about 200 miles on a 2024 XLT AWD with the FX4 package. Happy so far. And I've been busy modifying the back seat for a couple of large dogs, adding a Softopper, and 1.5" lift. I think it's fun to make it mine :)

I'm selling my old Chevy Silverado and excited to have found a vehicle that provides the benefits of a pick up but in a smaller and more fuel efficient package.

Looking forward to learning and sharing on the forum!

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. You should have attached some pictures of your new truck.

I’m making similiar upgrades for the fur babies, but the BedRug is an absolute necessity- as I much rather have them in the back with the SoftTopper- I did this on my last truck, a 2017 Honda Ridgeline, and it worked out great for many years. The BedRug makes them so much more comfortable, even in the winters with just a big blanket, they do fine. What 1.5’ lift do you plan on using?

I’ll try to get some pictures of the Mav in action soon!

For the doggos, they like the lower entry height for the backseat (and are quite scared of separate platform or steps to help them get into anything higher) so the backseat is out and dog platform is in.

I went with the HRG offroad 1.5” lift kit. It receives good reviews and is not too tall to push suspension components too hard. Just enough height to improve ground clearance to trailheads and camp spots. However, just had it installed yesterday and something isn’t right. Clunk from the right front corner. Next week the game begins to chase down the installer to make it right…

[…update 4/14… loose lower strut bolts were found. Rock solid now. And happy with the lift.]

Bought a back seat full coverage fits perfect waterproof heavy but soft canvas dog seat cover like new for $5 at a thrift store for my Bulladore.
He’s a 23 month old puppy, knocking on 80 pounds of muscle. I’m keeping him whole. Big breeds need the hormones.

He’s a good boy, natural watch dog.
Extremely powerful.

I had a SoftTopper on my 2017 Ridgeline with a BedRug, fantastic combo for the doggos- I prefer them in the bed of the pickup with their wet, muddy paws. Installing the Bedrug into my Lariat this week, been raining in New York for the last several days...sigh

Looks great 👍
