I ordered the "Truxedo Soft Roll-up" tonneau with my 2025 XL AWD Hybrid Maverick. I've noticed that when it rains the tonneau holds quite a lot of water, so much so that sometimes the velcro becomes detached from the side railing. Last night in the heavy rains it took on so much water that the top bar actually detached from its insertion point. Much of the purpose of a tonneau is defeated when such things happen. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I question if it's installed correctly, as it looks like the front and side rails aren't attached to each other. The little tongue from the side rails should be slid into the front rail then have the side rails clamped down to hold everything together. The tonneau cover I have (different manufacturer, generic off of Amazon) has a couple ribs that bow slightly upwards when the cover is rolled over the bed, creating a high point in the middle to let rain drain to the sides.

I have the same soft roll up on my Mav. We don't get a lot of rain here but sometimes it does come down in buckets.

Never had any problems.

I did the install.

I have the Autosaver88 branded soft rollup and don't have this issue. That front piece is suppose to be secured to the side rail piece via a screw is it not? That's how it is on mine at least.

I had one on my Ridgeline for ten years and never had an issue. They have, or at least had, a lifetime warranty. Reach out to them for guidance. They are a great company to work with.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! The dealer installed it. it does indeed appear that a step was skipped. I made an appointment with their service department, and we'll see what they say. it should all be under warranty.

Have to agree with you. I cannot see a situation where the front rail would separate from the side rails when fully seated.

I have been in some straight up torrential downpours and I have never gotten more more than a few leaks by the tailgate. Cover always stays taut and velcro never separates.

I'd check to see if whoever installed skipped a step - the cab end was fastened and locked into the rails

for ref

Cheers
That is a different install than what OP has.
