Yes, this was on the window sticker. I didn't order it like that in August but my wife strongly suggested I go ahead with the wheel lock kit. As far as the FIrst Aid kit, *shoulder shrug*, why not I thought to myself at the time. Who doesn't want a Ford-branded first aid kit.

Also, it is 100% BS that every Maverick comes with wheel locks and the first aid kit.

Story Time:
Interest rates I was told would be 6.99%-7.99% if good credit.
Couldn't take delivery that exact day till a few days later, dealer needed to PDI the truck and such, wasn't able to test drive it or even sit inside.

In the meantime, what I basically did in that time span was go to my credit union and apply for an auto loan. Approved for 5.95%. When I finally made it back to the dealership finance guy thought deal was done after I declined extra protection coverage and warranty. Wanted me to sign on the dotted line at 6.99%. Stopped him mid sentence and told him I'd already been pre-approved at my credit union and if he couldn't beat it, I'd walk out, go get a check in the exact amount, down to the penny, and come back and finalize the purchase.
->The look on his face...LOL...

He proceeded to get on his "special computer" and low and behold, as if he forgot to rate-match my estimate, "oh, I found a competitive rate I think you'll be happy with...your new rate that you've been approved for is now 5.55%"
VICTORY!!!.....

"NOW.....I'll sign" I said.

That's my experience.
P.S. purchase a Ford authorized extended warranty on your own, that saved me an additional $2,000. Not 3rd party, a legit Ford warranty.

My Scion I got them to knock like 2k off car price by accepting their 3k overpriced extended warranty, and finance w them.

I knew the warranty was refundable, next day I canceled it and paid 700 at Alabama Scion dealer over phone.

went with check in exact amount about week later and paid car off

Finance guy was pissed, more so because Scion had true pricing, with isn’t supposed to be messed with, but I said well I will buy 3k warranty but only if price of car was adjusted

once he did it, hook line sinker. Got it he was so pissed I remember it, when I came in with check to pay car off he refused to accept it saying I couldnt

the manager guy put him in his place and said, yes he can and you will process it

Yeah feels like this dealer snuck them on when they filled out the order. If they did it to me I’d make them give to me for free after adding them behind my back, it’s scummy that they did that!

That is one heck of a dealer. Trade in is ~3k over kbb.

Hey, the OTD price was $38,230, and the sales tax will be paid when I submit to the license bureal. The taxes will only be on the difference between what they gave me for the trade in and the OTD price, which was $8730. My sales tax is calculated to be $675.52 and I was hoping to transfer the plates, but there might be a fee for that and the title.
