I've done this same thing in my old Nissan frontier. The devil is in the prep work. The better the prep, the better the result. I had bought additional lumber to give a little thicker cover then what the standard kit provided.

I spoke with person from x liner and they told me that they use 35 pounds of coating for heavy bed liners. Raptor is about a 1 gallon. That's makes about 7-8 pounds. Basically if you calculate it might worth to go with pro bedliner and spray it well. But that's only applies if you use Track fo heavy hauling.
