Just wanted to say "Thanks" again for this post... Using that "hack" (which I should have thought of myself, but didn't!), I was able to luck my way into a Hybrid Lariat actually available (apparently a rejected order) through a dealer several states away (but near my brother's house). I closed the deal with them yesterday, and the truck should arrive at the dealer sometime next week. I'll be flying up to take delivery, and squeezing in a quick visit with my brother!

It's not equipped exactly as I wanted, but it will fill the immediate need quite well. That gave me the freedom to place my '23 order, complete with ALL of the features and options I want (constraints be damned!), because if it takes until next December for my Cyber Orange "dream machine" to be delivered, I'll be fine driving the Carbonized Gray Lariat until then. And my dealer already told me they would be "more than happy" to give me a great trade-in on the '22 when mine comes in. (Unless, of course, my wife decides that we need to be a 2-Maverick family...)

So glad I was able to help get yours. I lucked out with a local dealer just 30 miles away who had a customer cancel their order. Wasn’t at all what I wanted (color, engine or packages) but I will be getting it anyway next week cuz it’s worth more used than new LOL

I'm lucky that the color (Carbonized Gray) is one of my favored colors, and as you so eloquently stated, "It's worth more used than new." (Though by the time I factor in traveling to get it, it's more like a "break even" proposition in my case.) Still, I'll be a Maverick owner in about a week, and that will be a tremendous help in remaining patient to get exactly the Maverick I want.

And, of course, when he saw it, he decided he wanted to keep it.
