Where’s my Maverick?

I signed up to buy at dealership in July, then “ordered” in October. I went thru the build with the salesperson at that time. Since then, the dealership has given me no detailed about my order. They just “ clickity, click” and tell me it’s not scheduled to build yet.
I read on this site, that Ford has given order numbers to customers to track, etc, but I don’t have one. What suggestions do you have for me to get more info from the dealer? I am afraid they may “stiff” me since I didn’t buy they Escape, got a better deal at another dealership in the area. I tried to switch my order to the other dealer, but cannot, and hybrid, 1st editions were no longer offered by last month.

There’s only about a thousand threads about this…. You need the order number from your DORA and the VIN…. But you don’t get a VIN until you get the ”scheduled for production” email from Ford. Once you have that you can check on Ford website for any updates. You can try calling Ford customer service with your order number and see if they can confirm the order was placed.

Ok. My confirmed ordered date October 13, 2021 scheduled for May 2022. Good for me.
