VIN but no sticker or build date

Greetings forum,

Yesterday my dealership, not Ford's notification emails, emailed me my assigned VIN number (I was very excited). Unfortunately, when I look up the VIN in Ford's tracking system it shows no build date or window sticker. I'm just curious if this is this common. If so, does anyone know what this means for timelines? I realize that all things are subject to the prevailing winds and probably some whim too. My order was placed last July. I had pretty much given up but now I'm wondering if this is just a mirage.

I see other threads where people are waiting on build information or stickers but it all seemed a little fuzzy.

Nothing will show on the tracker till you go into
Production. It will not tell you your build date on the tracker till it’s built. The scheduled for production email usually tells you that. Your dealer needs to tell you when your build date is since emails didn’t go out. Not sure why they didn’t tell you that. But if I had to guess you are with everyone else on 5/9 for build week that got their VIN yesterday. Window sticker won’t show up till a week before build week too.

You can also call Ford CS and they can tell you as well.

I had the same question. Got my VIN and build date (05/02/22) yesterday through Ford Chat...not email or dealer, but could not see my window sticker. Thanks!

I had my vin from the dealer on 12/16 and had a build date of 3-5

Sure enough, the dealer said there is a build week of 5/2... So maybe there is hope for a July delivery? Anyway, I'll just set a reminder to check the system that week and we'll see where things go.
