To qualify, your vehicle must be 2014 or newer, under 80,000 miles and over 41 months and/or 40,999 miles from the original in-service date. Granger was great to work with! I had purchased the Ford Premium Care insurance from my local Ford dealer when I purchased my Maverick in February. About a month afterwards I read about Granger in the Maverick Truck Club forum. I contacted Granger and was able to cancel my extended care plan with my local dealer, get a full refund, and purchase the exact same plan through Granger and save about $300. It is definitely worth checking with them.

Ford extended warranty plans are really pretty good. We've sold a few to customers with vehicles other than Fords, and they cover them just fine.
If you have a problem, take to your Ford dealer and if they need to send it to that particular manufacturer's dealership for repairs, they simple send it over and submit the estimate for repairs to Ford -- just as if it was a Ford -- they review it and authorize the repairs. When it's repaired, you pick up your vehicle where you dropped it off, pay any deductible you may have and you're on your way.

Additionally, some aftermarket/dealership plans don't cover as was as the Ford plans. Some will not cover related damage from a covered part, and some don't even cover simple things which may not traditionally fail, but you'd expect to be covered; like a thermostat.
Of course, check the plan you're interested in to get the coverage you want, and be sure that related damage is covered too. That alone could save you a ton of money.

I am a little confused. Does Granger offer used car plans for non Ford vehicles or not? I bought a plan from them for my new Maverick and the process and price was great. I have a 2017 Jeep Renegade that is currently covered by a Jeep extended warranty that expires April 2025. It only has 19K miles on it and i am interested in putting another warranty on it.
