Underglow help

I'm trying to learn about how this exactly works. Are there control units. any terminology I should try to familiar myself with that might make searching easier. I can find light strips for days on amazon but actually hooking this stuff up to the truck and powering/controlling it is something im unfamiliar with. I'm sorta blind in the area and looking for where to start looking.
