I have an order made in October 2022 of an xlt hybrid. That order has not been scheduled yet. Dealer doesn’t know anything yet about rollover (this is Canada forum).
I ran Into another dealer setup at a restaurant yesterday offering entry for $100 draw if you’d provide name, number and take a test drive. Drove a lightning. That was fun.
I asked them if they wanted to make an order for another maverick no deposit. Basically a race to see which dealer gets it. I thought they’d benefit either way. One way they sell msrp to me or if I get other order first they get to retail it over Msrp to someone who buys it off the lot.
They called me today said they can’t. Said if I order and don’t take order they are penalized 2% of invoice, lose any profit from sale, and it negatively affects their allocation.
