Wondering about other owners' opinions/feedback regarding the different TMS settings.
And what performance differences has anyone noticed when using 93-octane fuel?

I have been running 92 octane since June. 87 before that. There is noticeable difference. Nothing earth shattering, but with 87 I noticed a lag when I pressed the gas until the truck took off. The harder I got on the pedal the more noticeable the lag. The 92 octane seems to eliminate a good bit of that lag and give the truck a bit more pep. Again not a ton, but noticeable if you pay attention. I also tow and haul a lot and Fords recommends 92 for that. Gas milage seems to be negligible, maybe 1 or 2 MPG.

One thing to keep in mind it that if you are running 87 octane and switch to 92 or 92 it can take up to 4 thanks of gas to fully advance the timing. If you go from 92 down to 87 it only take about 10 miles to retard the timing. So don't expect instant results 3 miles into your first tank of 93.

At least this is what I read on another forum about Ford's Ecoboost engine. Maybe someone can confirm or correct me.

Knock sensors are instant. As soon as knock, or no knock is detected, timing is adjusted.
