Hey all,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I received my Cactus Grey XL about a week ago after a year and a half wait. I’m really enjoying the truck and have enjoyed reading your forum for the past year and a half!
Anyway, I found an incredibly cheap set of Smartliner front and rear floor mats on Facebook Marketplace only ten minutes from my house. Only catch - they were for a Bronco Sport. No problem, I saw on here that the fronts should be identical so I went to buy them. The fronts fit great. The rear mat actually is close, except the “hump” in the middle is too long (front to back) to fit. I have an Ecoboost, and the height of the hump was pretty close. Well, I decided to give the rear mat a trim to make it fit.
I laid out a rough mark on green tape so I could see where I was cutting. If I could do it again I’d leave a little more plastic on the side wall of the hump. Then I used my coping saw to cut to the mark. The plastic material cut easily and well with the coping saw. Finally when the cut was done I cleaned up the edge with an edge break tool, although I’m sure sandpaper would work nicely too.
If you ever get the chance to buy a set of these cheap, go for it - you can make the rears fit well enough (if you have an Ecoboost). I’ve attached some pictures.
