Hi there! I'm Aaron, from Southern California. Currently I've got a 2016 Mustang EcoBoost (Premium, Perf Pkg, the works). However it's paid off and I want to move into something more practical without getting too deep into another financing loan. Enter the Maverick. Current conditions will allow me to sell the Mustang private party at a ridiculously good price to apply as a down payment to the Mav.
I'm also working with a dealership in Michigan to buy the car, and I want to use the opportunity for a off-the-lot road trip back to California (I will probably spend a day or two before leaving to install some creature comfort upgrades like swapping out interior lights with LEDs and the like, nothing big).
So I'm setting up my order, and I'm going all in. Lariat AWD in Alto Blue with the Lux, FX4, 4k Tow, and 360 packages. I'm also going to splurge on the moon roof and a full-size spare.
Before the Mustang I had a 2014 Fiesta, and before that a 2011 Fiesta. I'm looking at the options on the Mav and it reminds me a lot of the 2011 Fiesta, where it's very basic, and I'm pretty certain in a couple model years or so we'll see some of the other creature comforts fill in.
For example, Things in my Mustang, not available in the Maverick at all:
1. Auto-Dim Rear-view Mirror
2. HomeLink Garage Door Opener
3. Cooled Seats
4. Rain Sensing Wipers
5. Memory Preset Seats
6. Auto Down and Up on Both Windows
7. Built-In Navigation
8. CD Player
9. HD Radio
10 Fog Lights
#1 and 2 can be easily fixed by getting an aftermarket OEM style auto dim mirror with HomeLink off of the internet, super easy.
#3 thru 6 are really nice, but not a must-have.
#7 is nice in no cell service areas, but overall, CarPlay can provide (even some offline map options).
#8 ... Meh.
#9 and 10 are features I will miss quite a bit.
I was looking through the Manual for the Mav and noticed the SYNC 3 section mentions HD radio (It also mentions Navigation, so I expect the section was more or less a copy-paste without editing) but for the owners here with SYNC 3, can you confirm if HD radio is not included? I'm guessing not since it's not mentioned in the online configurator.
