I sold a 22 XLT EB to a Ford Dealer for $4K over sticker. It had 7K miles on it. I traded in a 23 XLT Hybrid on my wife's Lariat Hybrid and they gave me $5K over sticker. It had 6K miles on it. Small dealers often look for them, especially if they have sold a few. Both of the two I got to Ford dealers sold within 72 hours.

Thanks for the info. Just got my XLT/Hybrid/Cactus Grey/200 miles in yesterday and will be selling it too. I assume Carvana will help me understand the value. Anyone looking for one in Omaha, NE let me know!

I bought 5 of them - 3 Hybrids and 2 Ecoboosts. Selling one of the Ecoboosts.. Have it listed on Craigslist and Offerup.... any suggestions where else to list it?

It's a 2023 XLT, lots of upgrades, Black Package, Tow Package, perfect condition, 4,000 miles. Live in Central California / Modesto. Asking 35K
May be easier to sell if you are not trying to make a big profit.

Either he makes the profit or the next person selling it will. I'm still seeing $5-$10K ADM in GA on all versions of Maverick.

Not trying to make a profit - just break even. The Invoice is just under 38k with sales tax. 35k is a little under what I paid, minus taxes, etc.

Through the Pandemic I saw with my own eyes dealers getting 5k, 8k and even 10k (in the SF Bay Area) over MSRP. I know the market has softened a little, so I thought 35k would be a fair price. One of the above-mentioned sellers offered me 29k. I thought that was a bit soft - when the market is a "little soft, and things like inflation, gas prices, interest rates, etc. erode consumer confidence, retailers try to take advantage of that, just like they took advantage of the supply / Demand curve with the low output / production of these trucks during extraordinary demand. I get it all.

I have 0ver 20 vehicles right now, and I've probably had more than 250 over my lifetime. I know a little about the ins and outs of the economy because I've been in retail most of my life. I'm not trying to profit from the transaction - I just want to break even, or come close to it. This truck I'm selling is one of the 5 I ordered for myself and the business. My adult daughter became enamored with it and I let her take over the order, customize it how she wanted it, and she bought it with my help on the loan. Now she doesn't want it, so I'm selling it for her. If the transaction ends up at a small loss, I will take it on my end so she will be at square #1, minus the finance payments she has made.

I appreciate all the input - it has helped me. I will continue to move ahead with the suggestions and, if I have to, I will lower the price a little. But I don't want to succumb to the market pressures and let a retailer benefit from the transaction if I don't have to. The local Carmax probably had 300 cars on the lot, and about 15 salespeople roaming around when I was there on Friday. I am happy for the car retailers because everyone has to make a living. But, because I am a "car guy" and fairly adept at selling my own vehicles..... I have never traded a car in to a dealer..... I will forge ahead and do my best to relieve this one from the stable.

ALL comments are valued and appreciated ---- Keep 'em coming! :)

😯 Did you buy all 5 the same time?

Facebook seem to get more attention than craigslist now a days.
Ordered 3 in September 2020, the other two in June 2021

Agreed - FB is more responsive, but more scammer & flippers

Just curious - did you purchase so many of these out of need, or in hopes of coming out a bit ahead by flipping a couple…?
I bought 4 for business (service and maintenance techs), and ne as my new daily driver. I have over 20k on mine, and this one was supposed to be for the business, but my daughter wanted it, so I let her take mine. This one (hers) has more options than I need for the business. If I don't get the money for it, I'm thinking about maybe keeping this one for me, and turning mine into another service vehicle. Still up in the air.

I know a guy who sold his to a Ford dealer for well over sticker. Never hurts to ask.
Tried that - demand has slowed / they have more allocation.

If there are any independent Ford dealers (aka low allocation) within a reasonable distance, consider contacting one of them for an offer.

Wow. You must have connections to have bought 5 and some people haven’t received their first one yet.
