From reading on Ranger5g.com, not one of the current Rangers have an included keypad. The stick on gadgets are battery powered, and when the battery finally dies the unit has to be replaced. I suppose it might be blanketed underneath assurance for a 12 months or two even though if it dies early. at the plus facet even though because it isn't difficult wired it does not must be at the door, it can be positioned everywhere at the car. just something to keep in mind.
i'm assuming the keypads at the XLT and above are difficult stressed and wont need to get replaced as frequently.
