  1. First road trip (mpgs) 2024 Maverick Lariat Ecoboost AWD

As a side not about the most recent trip from Phoenix to Ohio for what turned out to be a funeral for a relative. I got in the truck at 4:30 am to take my wife to the airport (it was her sister in the hospital) after which I was going to leave, driving to Ohio since we didn't know at the time...
  2. First road trip (mpgs) 2024 Maverick Lariat Ecoboost AWD

This reflects my experience with the ECo 2.0. I've gone on several road trips 4000+ miles and never averaged less that 32 mpg including a couple of 500+ miles between fillups. Couldn't be happier with my Maverick.
  3. Ran the numbers on miles it takes to "Break Even" with the higher price of the Hybrid Maverick 🙇🏻‍♂️💰

I looked seriously at the hybrid when I ordered, now almost 2 years ago, but I wanted the 4K tow option so EB was it. I'm sure I would have loved the hybrid, but am completely happy with my EB . We're still waiting on getting a camping trailer so haven't towed anything yet. But for comparison...
  4. 6000+ mile camping road trip (kinda long read)

We just discovered this when we were at Wind Cave but didn't get the passport book since we have visited 22 parks previously. But depending on how you count them I guess we have 20 or 30 still to go.
  5. 6000+ mile camping road trip (kinda long read)

It was $200 when I purchased 4 months ago. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089GXQNKB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
  6. 6000+ mile camping road trip (kinda long read)

    Here's a few highlights...
  7. 6000+ mile camping road trip (kinda long read)

Yes to Lake Hartwell on the SC side southwest of Anderson. We love the area and have explored quite a bit of territory on both sides of Lake Hartwell and from Aiken across into GA up to Hartwell.
  8. 6000+ mile camping road trip (kinda long read)

19 days. Mostly 1 night overnighters, 2 nights in the Black Hills, SD; 2 in Michigan where I have family, and 2 in Ohio where my wife has family.
  9. 6000+ mile camping road trip (kinda long read)

We spent 3 nights at Springfield Campground, Anderson SC area. We are considering a possible move to that area of SC/GA in the next year or so.
  10. 6000+ mile camping road trip (kinda long read)

It is actually 2 - 100w panels. 200w total. We didn't really get a lot of use out of it, most of the campgrounds where we stayed more than one night had electric hookups.
  11. 6000+ mile camping road trip (kinda long read)

My wife and I just completed a 6000+ mile road trip, tent camping our way through parts of 19 states, from Arizona north to South Dakota across to Michigan then south to South Carolina and back across the I-10 corridor back home to Phoenix. We tried to stay off the interstates when possible...
  12. After one year of ownership ... love it more today after 17K miles

It is AWD with 4k tow. I'm probably a pretty conservative driver, ACC set to 68-70 on city freeways, 73-74 out on the open road. A good share of my driving around town involves the freeways where the little mpg meter runs 30-40 quite a bit I use ECO mode whenever I remember to hit the button...
  13. After one year of ownership ... love it more today after 17K miles

One year ago today I drove home my new 2022 Alto Blue Maverick EB and I love it more today after 17,314 miles than the day I drove it home. Here are some highlights from my experience as an ordinary, non-technical driver. Fuel Economy: Over those 17,314 miles the average MPG is 29.3...
  14. Regrets with your engine choice?

Couldn't be any happier with my choice of EB Lariat AWD 4K tow. I recently completed a 6K mile cross country trip mostly on I-20 from Phoenix to South Carolina, with a couple of days of local driving thrown in. Ran in ECO mode most of the time at a pretty constant 72 - 74 MPH, AC on all the...
  15. Not seeing Mavericks in the wild... why not? How about your community?

I live in Phoenix and have seen exactly 1 Maverick in the wild when I pulled up behind a Black XLT at a stoplight. I might have seen a white one coming towards me the other day but not enough of a look to confirm. Didn't see any on the recent 4200 mile road trip. What surprises me a bit is the...
  16. 4000+ mile cross country road trip

Not much additional weight. We packed light since most of the time we were on the road. Besides the two of us probably no more that 200-250#, so 500-600 total.
  17. 4000+ mile cross country road trip

I thought of a couple of added notes that might be of interest. I didn't track the distances for each tank of gas except the last one. I filled up in Albuquerque headed home to Phoenix, 423 miles and still 1/4 tank left, 149 miles to E?! Granted a lot of that was downhill but still potentially...
  18. 4000+ mile cross country road trip

Interesting! I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I did.
  19. 4000+ mile cross country road trip

Moved it as far towards the tailgate as possible while still making good contact.
