In this video, we compare two of the most popular offroad-style SAE fog light replacement options on the market offered by Baja Designs and our team here at Diode Dynamics!

For this comparison, we've used our state-of-the-art Goniophotometer, a device that measures multiple points to calculate the intensity and map out the beam pattern of each fog lamp. We've also used our integrating sphere, which is a device that is used to measure the color temperature of each fog lamp. We hope the data we collected helps you choose the best fog lamp for your vehicle.

Figuring out the right option for my 2025 FX4 (ie tow hooks) which I'll have to customize myself since DD has no currently available option. This video is an excellent, non biased comparison and very helpful. I would only note that the actual price points between Baja and DD Pro are (as of this reply) $349 for Baja (with incl harness) vs SD pro $438 ($399 plus $39 harness.) However, I must say that DD much clearer instructions, videos, and included T taps make DD much more friendly to the DYI installer. And the back light and three position toggle is a bonus with very little extra effort required. One last consideration is that the Baja it's slightly smaller in a tight fit situation.
