The bronco sport seems like it can be configured with about 10° more on approach and departure than the mav, so I'm curious what potential there is to bring the truck more in line with its SUV cousin. I know bigger tires and a lift could both help here, but has anyone heard about potential aftermarket support for Maverick bumpers with better clearance? The closest I could find was some scattered rumors about a potential "Rattler" trim.

I don’t really see how much they can offer on the maverick with all the plastic trim at the bottom all around to both bumpers. I know some wanna put push bars on the front too, but there’s not much to support anything like behind the plastic bumper cover either?… the bronco is also shorter wheelbase allowing better angles than the maverick.

The Rattle pics had a high clearance front bumper and I think a slightly higher stance. I personally want to do a full 2" spring and shock lift once available. Aswell as fit 245/70r17s. That will give me 2.75" higher ground clearance over my FX4 with 235/65 ATs, which I believe is the highest at 8.6". Thats 11.35" ground clearance. Thats almost what a Sasquatch Bronco has.
So the rear, if you maintain the factory rake and avoid getting truck nuts, is pretty high with its bumper integrated hitch. The front is quite a bit lower, however I have seen people trimming the lower wings of the plastic air dam on theirs, usually after the parking curbs start to take their piece of flesh.
It will be interesting to see if a "rattler" comes out and mini trucks take off, perhaps there will be a company that offers a trimmed up raised aftermarket bumper. It will be a couple years though if so.

I cant wait to get mine and compare it to my AMC Eagle, which rides on similar height tires and is similarly sized, I want lift both and step up to a +30" tire at the same time and do a bunch of measurements. Hopefully with in a year :ROFLMAO:

For sure approach angles will get you into places but your breakover angle will leave you there all tipsy.

The bronco sport also has shorter overhang front & rear (much better clearance from tires to bumpers front/rear)

You would probably have to move the intercooler. Honestly if you want a more capable off road vehicle, you probably shouldn't be starting with the maverick.

Yeah I mean I know it's mostly just a crossover with a bed, but wouldn't mind avoiding the scraping you can get when hitting dips and potholes on rougher roads. Sounds like we'll just have to wait for the aftermarket support to get there.
