Ranchero in the wild

The Ranchero topic had popped up on the forum again and serendipitously I ran in to this Ranchero. Just happened to be on a friend of a friends farm who hoards Broncos and Bronco parts. We were getting a Flywheel for a 302 engine.
I saw this little guy hanging out all alone.
I was surprised that it didn't say Ranchero anywhere just the badge on the back. I have always liked these Falcon based Rancheros but wanted a '67 Ranchero GT built off the Fairlane. Those looked bad ass. I didn't like them once they stretched to the Gran Tourismo front.
Thought I would share.

Well, considering that this era Ranchero was built on the Falcon frame (Ford's value chassis of that era) and Maverick being built on C2 Global (this eras Ford value chassis)...they share a kindred spirit.

And it comes with a neatly compacted Lincoln Continental in the bed too!!

And we all wondered how the entire weight of a compacted four door Lincoln (4500 - 5000 lbs) could sit back there and not cause the rear springs to collapse. And there were gold bars in the car as well. Squishing the air out didn't reduce the weight, but you wouldn't want to wreck the storyline.
