Had my Maverick a week now, never a problem playing Spotify through my Android. Always boots straight up. Usually I have to click Sources then click my phone on there and the music will start playing.

Well, I'm connected, Ford Pass is connected, if I want to select a device I can see my phone there, and my phone itself shows it being connected to my truck...but no music.

Any ideas?

And yes I have turned off blue tooth and reset everything and deleting my phone from the truck.

Edit- It came back on magically after turning everything off more than 10 minutes. Go figure.

I had a similar problem the other day while using the cable and android auto, unplugged the phone from the cable, rebooted my phone, and then plugged it back in and everything was working as it should. I think the problem is with the phone and not the truck. You might try plugging your phone in to force it into android auto and that might reset whatever is in a stuck state.

I've never even used the cable...or even have one. Might need to pick one up now.

Bluetooth runs the gamut from finicky to exasperating to utter dreck. Wired connection is hands down always the better choice.

Even phones equipped for wireless charging still come with a cable in the box.

I would recommend using a USB A cable over a USB C, I was having a weird problem the other day where I was running maps and spotify and the phone kept disconnecting from the radio while using a USB C to USB C cable. Once I changed the cable (I just happened to have both in the truck) it functioned like it should have and had no problems.

Its a weird bug as USB C is rated at much higher bandwidth than A but it was like it was lagging so much it disconnected.

An aux to aux cable? I never got one with a new phone.

I've never had one eith. I also never had to use one with my last 2 vehicles using Bluetooth either. Well, maybe a little, but simply turning things off and on always worked before.

Update...works again. Didn't do anything extra besides wait longer to turn everything back on

USB. Same as the one used for charging the phone. Maverick does not have an aux input

Was going to ask if Spotify showed connected to your Maverick in the bottom left.
