I ordered a hybrid XLT with the Lux package and CP360. I was told by the dealer that my order would take 8-12 weeks to go into production and about another 6 weeks to be delivered by rail. I got the confirmation from Ford about 15 minutes after placing my order.
Today is 15 October 22 and still no Maverick that I ordered.
On 22 August, I received a production email with a VIN from Ford for a production week of 19 Sept.
I called the Ford dealer to confirm my order, and he said he personally deleted the Lux pkg and CP360 to get it into production w/o my knowledge.
I’ve had push backs from 19 and 26 September, 3 and 10 October, and now 31 October.
Do I believe I’ll be getting a ‘22 model in early ‘23? Not exactly. I told the dealer I will not be taking delivery.
A little back story. I picked up a hybrid XL on 27 January at MSRP from a dealer in Gastonia, NC that a customer canceled. It had a SIBL and a hard top trifold tonneau cover and CP360.
On 31 March, I found a hybrid XLT with the lux pkg but no CP360. I traded in the XL for the XLT. The trade in canceled out the market adjustment fee, and I kept the tonneau cover.
I ordered a ‘23 hybrid Lariat, lux, both CP’s, and BAP from two different dealers on 15 Sept. The first dealer told me I had a 0% chance of having it built, so I ordered from another who had a more positive attitude.
