Not sure where I stand now...

About a month ago my salesperson called and said they had a customer cancel their order, the truck had a build date of 03/21. Seeing as I didn't have a build date on my original order, I accepted a transfer to that order.

I called Ford Maverick customer service yesterday to check on it, they didn't have a build/production date yet, but said there was a vin assigned.

I believe I'd read where you didn't get a vin until production was scheduled, just wondering where I stand now, is there light at the end of the tunnel because it has a vin?

I feel for ya. It sounds like you are even more in the dark then others of us who are working with our original order.

Once your Maverick gets a build date, you get a VIN number. So that's not much progress for you. Since your build week is this week, it may be a few days to a week or two until the tracking shows "In Production" with a date. When did you place your original order, and for what trim/spec?

Are you able to look up the progress on Ford Vehicle Order Tracking?

Originally ordered an Eco XLT in September 21. Honestly had wanted an Hybrid, but my current vehicle is on it's last leg, and needed something sooner rather than later.

I asked my salesperson if they could switch the email on the order I took over to keep me up to date on the build process, he said they couldn't, which is why I called Ford to see if they could on their end, no go there as well.

It's been built! Awaiting shipment now.

Ford CS gave me the vin, ,said although I wouldn't get email updates, I could track it on their tracking system. it showed up w/ window sticker!
