New Owner: 2026 Lariat with EcoBoost

In the next week, I will be picking up my new 26 Lariat EcoBoost.
I have been toying with the idea of one for a bit and the time is becoming right.
Will be a daily driver and dog toter.
I plan to research ("Search Forums") trials and tribulations from owners here for this journey.
I have already started scoping out modifications in stages:

1. Suspension
   1. Sway bars and STB (more than likely Steeda)
   2. Lowering Springs (not sure which yet, looking at Eibach and H&R)
      1. Need to confirm which work with stock shocks
2. Misc. small mods / upgrades
   1. Window tint
   2. Ceramic detailing
   3. Who knows what else I find
3. Engine
   1. Need to research tune options and impacts on the transmission
      1. Previous 2.0T GLI and 1.8T Passat had APR Tunes
         1. 93 Octane GLI became $$, while the Passat had an 87 Octane tuned. Picked up peppiness and several mpg.
      2. Main reason for ecoboost purchase
   2. Other go faster goodies
      1. Downpipe
      2. FMIC
      3. Air Intake

I opted for the Ecoboost approach over the Lobo due to the impacted capacities on the Lobo. Even though I doubt I will ever push the weight limits on the Maverick, there was something odd to me with the Lobo. It will not be used off-road, so no need for the Tremor. And I like creature comforts, so I tried to option this out as much as possible. Thankfully, my sales rep was able to find an exact match for me.

A Stock Ecoboost is plenty powerful.
I’d recommend not voiding the warranty for at least the first few years.

That is part of my research with understanding what is / is not available with tuning, including what concerns other people have had with their tunes. I have been spoiled with my APR Tunes with my VWs, as our Atlas might be next
