The wheel well access for the passenger side was fine but the other side is obstructed, so I'll drop the shield and get at it that way. Thanks for the tip!From underneath the truck, remove the splash shield like you are going to change oil. If you look over toward the side marker it's a pretty straight shot you will be able to see it but not reach it. Use about a 2-foot pry bar and reach over to it. You are not prying it out! You just want to push the little clip at the front of the light back a little while putting some outward pressure on the light. Might take a couple tries but it will pop right out. You can do the passenger side the same way.
I much prefer this to prying against the paint or trying to go in through the wheel well.
