Took my wife's 2020 Escape in for its three-year check-up and state inspection on June 13. It is a small Ford dealership in upstate NY. Asked about availability of Mavericks and the manager said he had just gotten an opening for one in the dealer allotment. He said to give a list of options and he would plug it in. So, I went to the Ford website and did a build and price and gave it to him. Lariat EB, Alto blue, Co-Pilot 360 & 4K tow. Just checked and it is scheduled for the week of September 25. After hearing all the horror stories of long waits and talking with dealers that would not deal sticker pricing or the X-plan, I had about given up and was going to try my luck with a 2024. Found another upstate NY dealer that would sell at X-Plan and placed an order with them. Price is about equal on both. Options slightly different. Now to see if the first one goes into production next month. Not sure which one I want. Like the Alto blue and the soon to be discontinued colored skull caps, heated wipers and touch pad entry. Like the SIBL on the 2024. Not a bad problem to have.

Just got an update and the Maverick ordered on June 13 just went into production. A couple days earlier that was scheduled.

Well it's getting close to the 23MY cutoff. The 24's start rolling off the line on Oct 16th if the planned schedule holds.

The June 23 Maverick was delivered in October but did not have co-pilot 360 assist so I did not take it. It sold three days later with a $3000 premium. I had a MSRP deal.

I also ordered a 2024 on July 17. it went into production on November 23, got the build notice on December 23 and today, December 26 it shipped. Unfortunately, I am in Florida and will not return to New York until late April/early May. Talked with dealer and they will sell this one and we ordered another. So, if anyone is interested in an Atlas Blue Lariat with a tow pkg., contact Davidson Ford of Clay, NY and ask for Matt. This dealership has played no games with me and was willing to sell at X-plan. Well, the third order is the charm. Picked up my new Maverick on Saturday. Order confirmed on December 4, 2023, scheduled build date February 19, 2024, into production on February 16, built on February 23, shipped on March 6 (my birthday), final prep on April 2, arrived at dealer on April 6 and delivered on May 18.
Davidson Ford was a pleasure to deal with, accepted X-Plan, no dealer added fees or other junk, although it was offered. Asked them not to mount front license plate holder and they did so (did not want holes drilled in bumper cover). Matt Rupp (salesman) was great about communication throughout the 10 months between order and delivery. They were cooperative about the 5 weeks between the vehicle arrival and delivery (they waited until we returned from our winter vacation in Florida). Would highly recommend Davidson Ford in Clay, NY (Syracuse suburb). As we were leaving Matt took this picture and gave us a Maverick hat.
