I got lucky and snagged a customer declined special order from the dealership I placed My own order through. Say hello to my 2022 Maverick Lariat First Edition Hybrid in Area 51. I still can’t believe it’s in my garage. I love this pickup so far. The mileage is incredible. 400 miles on it so far and averaging 43.8 mpg. I’ve achieved as much as 56.5 mpg on my 15 mile commute to work. It routinely gets above 50mpg on my commute. It’s way better than I expected and my expectations were high. The interior is gorgeous and compliments the exterior color very well. The stereo is very good. Love the tech equipment. The adaptive cruise control is awesome. Seats are comfortable, interior roomy and well laid out. I’m 6’4” and fit very well even with the sunroof. I’ve made a few changes as you can see from the pics to make it my own. I’m looking forward to many adventures with this fun, comfortable and economical pickup.

Looks great! I will be picking up my Hybrid FE tomorrow.

How is your license plate bracket mounted on the front? I had the dealer refrain from installing the factory bracket and want to do something like you have here.

I bought a universal license plate mount on EBay. It has a tab and two mounting holes. I took a piece of aluminum stock 1/4” thick by 1” wide and about 12” long, drilled and tapped two holes in it to match the mounting holes on the universal mount. Then drilled two holes to match through the bottom side of the hollow lower grill bar, slid the channel in and ran two bolts up from the bottom to secure it. It’s secure and can be easily removed with no holes showing.

Thank you for the reply! I will probably do the same if I get harassed about not having a front plate.
