I have been cruising around the forums and I have to say this has been a fantastic resource. Wanted to get some feedback from you all about what was told to me on the phone by a ford representative when checking on my order.

Had usual questions most individuals probably ask when they have an unresponsive dealer. I then started asking about if I do not make this year for being scheduled, do I need to go visit the dealership to confirm I still want the order and is it possible to at that point move my order to a new dealer. This is where the conversation takes a nose dive and goes against everything I have seen on here and also at the ford guy ( yes...Ford needs to payroll him).

The ford customer service rep tells me I will automatically roll over and nothing needs to be done on my part. She tells me that if I were to consider changing dealerships I would likely incur a markup due to market conditions and that I would probably get a market markup on this current order with my dealership also. This definitely got me and I followed up with ford would allow this and this is how they treat their customers, allowing dealerships to pillage us?

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought Ford had worked with people to get their order switched to a new dealership for situations like this? Has anyone else experienced this: (1)being told you will need to pay more by ford customer service for market adjustments, (2) actually having a dealer market adjust due to ford not securing its supply chain well enough? To anyone saying well covid and market blah blah, let me stop you, its two and a half years of flatting the curve, adapt already. I am seriously waiting for other companies to start chewing into this market segment and put ford's supply chain out of its misery. Just cause ford can't get its garbage in line doesn't mean the customer should suffer anything more than a long wait (which we have); I am not the longest as I ordered in October. Sorry for typos writing on a phone.
i am not sure i understand. Why do you want to change dealership? What does dealer have to do with your wait time?
